Join your neighbours on Friday, September 22 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. in the
park beside Meadowlark Community League Hall and join the City of Edmonton
Urban Forestry team to learn about 20 new trees that will be planted in
Meadowlark this fall. The Meadowlark Community League neighbourhood is
partnering with the City of Edmonton’s Community Tree Planting program.
This program aims to grow and diversify the urban forest, as well promote the
many important benefits that trees provide. Residents of all ages are invited to
take part in a short ceremony to unveil our new trees. An introduction to the
activity will begin at 12:15 p.m. followed by fun educational workshops.
Volunteer and help us add mulch to the new trees, participate in a species
identification scavenger hunt and more!
